The Vision Begins

To Create an Atmosphere of Hope and Encouragement

In the month of June 1992, the Lord inspired William L. Bradley Jr. to start a church in the city of Deltona. The birth of the church started on December 13, 1992, when Pastor William Bradley held the church first formal meeting. Fifteen people attended that meeting to hear Pastor Bradley share the vision of New Hope Baptist Church. On December 19, 1992, Pastor Bradley had a church organization meeting with eight members to plan for their first worship service.

New Hope Baptist Church held its first worship service on Sunday January 10, 1993, at Deltona Lakes Elementary School. The worship service was exciting and full of expectation of the great things to come from this ministry. The first sermon preached at New Hope was titled “There Is No Hopeless Situation With God.” This title became the motto of the church.

Over the next few years New Hope held weekly Bible study and meetings at the Deltona Library and the Deltona Community Center. In 1995 the church rented office space on Providence Blvd. to use as a Fellowship Center to house all the bible classes and meetings. The vision of the church was to buy property and build a facility to do ministry that would create an atmosphere of hope and encouragement. The members worked together to make this happen.

The Lord blessed New Hope in 1995 to purchase 5.5 acres of property. Pastor Bradley’s desire to provide programs and services to the community led him to establish New Hope Human Services on August 20, 1998.

The year of 1999 was a memorable one for New Hope. On January 10, 1999, the church had a ground breaking ceremony to start on their first building; a 16,000 square foot Family Life Center. Throughout the year God manifested His power and provision for the people at New Hope. The church held its first worship service in its new facility on December 5, 1999. To God Be The Glory For The Things He Has Done.

New Hope’s desire to provide child care became a reality on January 3, 2000. ABC Day Care and Preschool Facility was opened to the public.

In the year 2004, the Lord blesses New Hope to purchase an additional 2.5 acres of property. The church currently owns 8 acres

New Hope expanded the ministry by establishing another church location in Debary, Florida. On March 11, 2007, New Hope Debary had its first worship service.

The Vision Continues

God has truly blessed New Hope Baptist Church. Through the years we have experience tremendous growth. We have seen people lives changed by the power of God and people have embraced the atmosphere of hope and encouragement that does exist at New Hope. It is the growth of the church and its desire to expand more ministries that has crystallized the need to build The Place of Hope. This will allow others to experience the Hope of Christ, and realize that “There Is No Hopeless Situation With God”.

The Place of Hope represents the vision which the Lord has given Pastor William L. Bradley, Jr. It is comprised of a thousand seat sanctuary, an Assisted Living Facility, a Business Retail Center, a Hope Activity Center, a Child Care Facility, Play Ground, a Picnic Area, an Athletic Field, a Restaurant and New Hope Christian School.
